Who We Are
Shah Safi Academy is a dedicated research and publishing institution rooted in the rich spiritual heritage of the Chishtiya Nizamiya Safawiya tradition. Founded in 2008, the Academy is devoted to publishing classical and modern Sufi literature in Urdu, Arabic, Persian, Hindi, and English, with the aim of promoting spiritual and moral values through accessible language and thought.
We are more than a publishing house — we are a platform committed to reviving authentic Islamic scholarship and making centuries of Sufi wisdom available to readers across the world, in print and now in the digital age.
Shah Safi Academy is a research and publishing unit which brings out monthly and annual magazines as well as books on spiritual thought, working toward the development of a healthy society and the creation of an environment grounded in academic, intellectual, and spiritual values.
Our Roots — Khanqah-e-Arifia
Shah Safi Academy is an integral part of the broader ecosystem of Khanqah-e-Arifia, located in the village of Saiyed Sarawan, Kaushambi, Uttar Pradesh — 23 km from Allahabad and 600 km from Delhi.
The Khanqah is under the spiritual stewardship of Sheikh Abu Saeed Shah Ehsanullah Mohammadi Safawi, fondly known as Abbu Miyan — one of the most prominent, pragmatic and dynamic Sufi masters of the current era, whose Khanqah revives the memories of the golden age of Sufi and Khanqahi life.
Sheikh Abu Saeed Safawi completed his early education at home, pursued secondary education in Allahabad, and graduated in Persian from Aligarh Muslim University. He has also deeply studied Islamic sciences, particularly the works of Sufis and Sufism. His magnetic personality, high moral values, exemplary character, and Sufi way of living attract people from all walks of life — men and women of all sections of society visit the Khanqah without any discrimination.
The founder’s vision of Islam is rooted in the Hadith of Musnad-e-Ahmed: “A Muslim is a person who does not harm people with his tongue or with his hands.” His message is one of love, tolerance, spiritual discipline, and peaceful coexistence.
The Academy operates under the umbrella of the Shah Safi Memorial Trust, a registered public charitable trust since July 7, 2004, which endeavors for the promotion of peace and security and works for the betterment of human society through cooperative measures.

It serves researchers, students, and seekers of knowledge who want rigorous engagement with classical Islamic thought.
Khizre Rah — خضر راہ

We publish in Urdu, Arabic, Persian, Hindi, and English — reflecting our commitment to reaching readers across linguistic boundaries and making the universal message of Sufism accessible to all.
Our Mission
We believe that the heritage of Islamic spirituality — its poetry, its scholarship, its ethical wisdom — belongs to all of humanity. Our mission is threefold:
Preserve — Revive and safeguard classical Sufi literature, rare manuscripts, and Islamic scholarship that might otherwise be lost to time.
Publish — Produce high-quality, research-based magazines and books that speak to both the learned scholar and the everyday seeker with clarity and sincerity.
Propagate — Spread the message of peaceful Islam rooted in love, moral reform, and the inner dimensions of faith (Iman, Islam, Ihsan).
Our Wider Family
Shah Safi Academy is part of a broader network of institutions working toward education, spirituality, and community service:

- Alehsan Media — The digital and media wing disseminating content across online platforms.
- Shah Safi Memorial Trust — The parent charitable trust overseeing education, healthcare, social welfare, and communal harmony programs.
